Cookie & Storage Policy

Last updated 23 September 2026

SnapCatalog uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies and browser storage entries. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

1. Strictly necessary

  • Authentication session: keeps a signed-in seller logged in and is required for the dashboard to work.
  • Security tokens: protect form submissions and sign-in flows against forgery and replay.
  • Preference storage: remembers small UI choices such as your cookie acknowledgement.

These are essential to deliver a service you have asked for, so they do not require consent under EU/UK rules.

2. Local storage (not cookies)

Your shopping cart is kept in your browser's local storage, keyed by store. It stays on your device and is only transmitted when you submit an order at checkout. Clearing site data empties your cart.

2a. Payment details are not stored in your browser

A seller's payment details, such as the UPI ID shown at checkout, are stored in our database against their store and not in your browser. We never store a UPI PIN, OTP, card number or bank password, and no cookie is used to make or confirm a payment. Payments are made directly between the customer and the seller in their own UPI app, outside SnapCatalog. See our Privacy Policy for how we treat dealings between customers and sellers.

3. Analytics and advertising

We do not set third-party advertising cookies and do not build cross-site profiles. Any usage measurement we perform is aggregated and does not track you across other websites. If we ever introduce optional analytics cookies, we will ask for consent first and list them here.

4. Controlling cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and the dashboard from working. See our Privacy Policy for how the resulting data is handled.
