Terms of Service
Last updated 23 September 2026
By creating a SnapCatalog store or using any SnapCatalog storefront you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
SnapCatalog is software that lets a seller publish a catalog, receive carts and orders, and manage those orders. We are not the seller, merchant of record, courier or payment processor for any order placed through a storefront. Contracts of sale are formed directly between the seller and their customer.
SnapCatalog is operated by Syed Abdul Rahman, 6-1-341 Walkertown, Padmarao Nagar, Secunderabad, Telangana 500025, India.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account; enable two-factor authentication where offered.
- You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to run a store.
- We may suspend accounts that appear compromised or that violate these terms.
3. Plans, billing and demo mode
The Free plan allows up to 3 published products. Paid plans unlock higher limits and additional features as described on the pricing page. Online payments run in demo mode until a real payment provider is connected: demo transactions are simulated and no money moves. Fees, taxes and refunds for real payments are handled by the connected provider and the seller.
4. Seller responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for your products, pricing, tax, invoicing, delivery, refunds and customer support.
- You must comply with all laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection, product safety, labelling and tax rules.
- You must own or be licensed to use every image, description and trademark you upload.
- You must handle your customers' personal data lawfully and honour their privacy rights.
- Payment details you publish (UPI ID, bank account, payment link) must be accounts you own and are legally entitled to collect into.
4a. Payments, risk and disputes between sellers and customers
Online payments are direct UPI transfers from the customer to the UPI account the seller saves in their settings. SnapCatalog never receives, holds, escrows or routes those funds, takes no commission on orders, and is not a payment processor, escrow agent, guarantor or party to the payment. A seller must only publish a UPI ID they own and are legally entitled to collect into; publishing another person's account or details you do not control is a serious breach of these terms and may lead to immediate termination.
Customers use storefronts at their own risk. We do not verify a seller's identity, inventory, product quality, pricing, licences, or ability or willingness to deliver, and listing a store is not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee. Before paying, customers should confirm the recipient name shown by their UPI app and agree price, stock and delivery terms with the seller.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnapCatalog is not liable for any act or omission of a seller or customer, or for any loss arising from dealings between them — including fraud, misrepresentation, impersonation, scams, non-delivery or late delivery, wrong, unsafe, counterfeit or defective goods, cancellations, refunds that are not paid or cannot be recovered, chargebacks, payments sent to an incorrect recipient, or disputes over price, tax or service. Disputes must be raised with the other party directly. We may investigate reports and warn, unpublish or terminate a seller under our Acceptable Use Policy, but we cannot adjudicate disputes, reverse a completed transfer or compensate either party.
We act as an intermediary in respect of seller-published content and third-party transactions and claim the protections available to intermediaries under applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it.
5. Acceptable use
Prohibited uses are listed in our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms. Breaking it can lead to immediate removal of content or termination.
6. Intellectual property
We own the SnapCatalog software, brand and design. You keep ownership of your store content and grant us a limited licence to host, display and transmit it so we can operate the service.
7. Availability and support
We aim for high availability but provide the service "as is" and "as available", without any uptime guarantee unless separately agreed in writing. We may change or discontinue features, giving reasonable notice for material changes.
8. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that stored data will never be lost.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from your products, your store content, your dealings with customers, or your breach of these terms or of applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using SnapCatalog and delete your store at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, legal risk, non-payment or abuse. On termination your storefront stops being publicly accessible and your data is deleted according to our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally. We encourage you to email us first so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
13. Changes
We may amend these terms; continued use after the effective date of a change means you accept the updated terms.
